Our revised opening times are below, please note The Tetley is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We are proud to be a part of the "We're Good To Go" scheme, the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.


Planning Your Visit

We are asking visitors to pre-book timed slots to visit the gallery and reserve tables in the Bar & Kitchen. This will enable us to manage capacity across all our spaces and ensure your visit goes as smoothly as possible. Entry to The Tetley remains free.

Please go to reception for gallery bookings or events, or to the host stand near the Bar for Bar & Kitchen reservations.

We will be supporting the NHS Test and Trace service by collecting visitor contact details including name, contact phone number, date of visit and arrival time. This information will only be used where necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Data will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

From 8 August it is required that all visitors wear face coverings when visiting a gallery.

Please sanitise your hands on arrival.


At The Tetley

There are hand sanitisers available throughout the building and on each floor, please regularly wash or sanitise your hands.

Hygiene screens have been installed at reception and at the host stand in the Bar & Kitchen.

All staff will be wearing face coverings.

There are toilets on each floor of The Tetley. Toilet facilities and other high touch surfaces are regularly cleaned throughout the day by our team.

Leaflets and printed materials are no longer be available in public areas. Instead, these items are available digitally through our website and through QR codes on site.

Signage is displayed across our building to indicate safe social distances. Children must be supervised at all times.


Bar & Kitchen

Social distancing measures have been implemented across our spaces to ensure a minimum of mon metre plus between each party.

Prebooking is advised in Bar & Kitchen. Walk-in's will be welcomed where we have safe room to do so.

The maximum table size allowed in our restaurant is six guests.

You are be able to view menus and order from your phone using the QR codes on each table.

The Tetley is only accepting card payments and contactless is recommended where possible.

The Tetley is fortunate to be able to offer a selection of private dining rooms for small, private gatherings – these provide the perfect safe environment for permitted gatherings.  Please make a reservation though our booking system here.



The Tetley is closely monitoring government guidance regarding weddings. Current guidance states that Wedding Ceremonies only are allowed to take place with a maximum of 30 people – including any non-venue suppliers, Registrar and photographers.

If you are due to attend a ceremony at The Tetley please go to reception on arrival where a dedicated member of staff will show you to your seats in the ceremony room.

Please use the available hand sanitiser upon entering the ceremony room.

Chairs will be spaced out to adhere to social distancing guidelines and must not be moved.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and they must adhere to social distancing measures.

Face coverings are mandatory.
